Results of the Southern German Stallion Licensing and Sport Horse Auction in Marbach
Nov. 7, 2010: Four Stallions go the the US, one Mare sold to Mexico
The United States and Mexico showed a strong presence at the 44th Marbach auction. Stallion Jim Knopf (Landjunge x Chemnitz) who had captivated the audience at the gala night on Saturday by jumping over a scary looking locomotive has a new proud owner in the Carolinas. Approved stallion La Roxx (Landprinz x Almox Prints) will be located at a well known hunter/jumper barn in Georgia, and stallion Con Carry (Carinjo x Newton) will also go to the same barn. They may all be met on the plane by Charly (Colman x Le Roi), who is also on his way to the US. The elegant jumper mare Reveille de Paris (Baloub du Rouet x Cosinus) will be traveling to Mexico City, where her bloodline will not only make her an attractive sport horse but also a very interesting brood mare. The complete auction results are in below pdf.
The stallions who were presented for licensing on Saturday were met by a tough group of judges. Only two of the sixteen found their approval. Jack Sparrow (Johnson x Wolkentanz II) and Cornet's Moon (Cornet's Stern x Landkaiser) were the lucky ones.
