Marbach Weekend with Sport Horse Auction and Stallion Licensing

Mark your calendars – as it is our tradition the first weekend in November is the highlight of our 2009 breeding season.

On November 6th, 2009 we will start at 11 am with the stallion licensing. 16 stallions will be presented in the free jumping arena, followed by an inspection under saddle. Some of the stallions already have show experience under their belt, especially the 2009 state champion Little Charly, a 3 yr. old son of Lord Loxley out of a Florestan I mare. The 5 yr. old Gandalf VM by Konvoi x Khaled el Asuad ox even competed at a national level in young horse x-country tests.

Dressage enthusiasts will be especially interested in Lord London by Londonderry, Ravenhawk by Royal Blend, and Davidson by Don Kennedy.

Holstein bloodlines dominate our jumper stallions. Their sires are Chambertin, Candillo, Contender, Clearway und Cassini II.

Some of the stallions will become available for sale at the auction on Saturday.

Friday night will be dominated by a gala event in the big covered arena, where most of the stallions and auction horses will make a public appearance, intermitted by an entertaining show program. The party will continue by live music in our adjacent tent.

On Saturday, November 7th we will start at 9.30 am with the final presentation of the 31 auction horses and the stallions that are for sale. The auction will start at 2 pm.

We will offer  highly talented youngsters, but also horses who already won an impressive number of ribbons. Belini, a 3 yr. old chestnut gelding by Brentano placed 4th in the Southern German Championship. Friedemann, a 5 yr. old black gelding by French Kiss x Dornenkönig was the shining star at several shows by winning the 2nd level young horse dressage classes. Ron Williams is the sire of Right here, a 6 yr. old dark bay gelding, who already won regular 2nd level dressage classes, and is currently successfully competing in 3rd level young horse competitions. Breeders and riders alike will love the 4 yr. old bay mare La Piana by Sir Oldenburg x Argentinus. She nonchalantly won several young horse classes.

And there is some substantial eye candy for the jumpers as well: Caruso Fly High by Colman x Walldorf is a 3 yr. old youngster who has written international career all over his pretty grey coat. Talent and rideability were the criteria for our 2009 selection, among which you will find the 6 yr. old mare Latina Sunrice by Lordanos out of a Polydor mare, who herself is a successful jumper over 1.4 m fences. Special treats are also the 4 yr. old mare Balou’s Baghira by Balou du Rouet x Capriol, and the 5 yr. old gelding Visconsin by Vivaldi van de Kampel x Rhodos.

All horses will be stabled in Marbach from October 24th, 2009 on. Our hotline +49 7385-96902-24 will be open from October 22nd on to make an appointments to try out the horses. The first public training is on October 25th, 2009 at 4 pm in the big covered arena of the principal and state stud Marbach near Stuttgart.

At 4 pm on November 1st, 2009 we will have another special presentation at the same location. Commentators are Dr. Plewa and H. Hartmann, both very experienced equestrians. The event can be watched online at www.clipmyhorse.de.
